Most analysis stops at the first team. Player development in Framesports does not. It is a development engine for every player on your roster, not just the ones who already start, and it runs automatically off the same match data you are already capturing.

The idea is simple and, in rugby, rare: give every player a clear, personalised picture of where they are and exactly what to work on next.

A development engine for every player

The suite turns raw performance data into a development plan each player can actually follow.

  • Automated individual development programmes. Every player gets an IDP built from their own match data, updated as new games come in, so the plan always reflects how they are actually playing.
  • Playing-level potential analysis. See where a player projects to, based on evidence rather than reputation, and what the gap to the next level really looks like.
  • A continuously updated rugby CV. Each player carries a living record of their rugby, refreshed automatically as they play, ready whenever it is needed.

Personalised, position by position

Development only works when it is specific. The suite generates personalised training drills for each player, suggests matchday goals tailored to their game, and frames everything through the position they actually play. A tighthead and an outside back are not working on the same things, and the platform knows it.

Because it updates over time, you can watch development happen rather than guess at it. Tracking dashboards show how a player is moving against their own goals across a season, so a coach can have a grounded conversation and a player can see the work paying off. It scales to everyone, which means the squad player gets the same quality of feedback as the captain.

Picture a young second row whose programme is built around her lineout timing and her cleanout speed, with drills to match and a single matchday goal she can actually hold in her head. The fly-half alongside her is working on entirely different things, off entirely different data, and neither plan needed a coach to assemble it by hand. That is what personalisation at scale really means: not a generic template with a name pasted on top, but a plan that reflects how each individual actually plays, refreshed every time they take the field. Multiply that across a full roster and you have given every player, not only the ones in the matchday squad, a concrete reason to keep improving.

How it works

All of it grows from the same accurate match data. Every event a player is involved in is captured in our tagging process, and AI turns that record into programmes, drills and goals at a scale no coaching staff could produce by hand. The work is generated for you, but the judgment about a player stays with the people who coach them.

Player development connects tightly to the rest of the platform. It shares a foundation with the match analysis suite, pairs naturally with the coach development suite, and reaches players directly through WhatsApp, where feedback actually gets seen.

Who it’s for

This is where amateur and professional teams meet on common ground. A professional academy uses it to run a pathway with evidence behind every decision. A grassroots club uses it to give players the kind of individual attention that used to be reserved for elite setups. Schools and academies use it to track age-grade development properly over time.

From grassroots to elite, every player deserves to know what to work on next, and we want to empower every one of them, not just the standouts. See how it works across your squad with a demo, or explore who uses Framesports.
