Club history
The current club's continuous history dates from the 1920s when it played as Harrodians RFC - a recreational outlet for Harrods department store employees and local players.
The club formally adopted the name Barnes RFC at the beginning of the 1992-93 season.
Barnes has been based at Barn Elms Sports Centre on Queen Elizabeth Walk since the late 1980s.
The club has periodically claimed lineage to an 1862 fixture against Richmond played at Barn Elms though this link to the modern entity is disputed and the club itself softened the claim in 2008.
Recent seasons
Finished 3rd in 2024-25 National League 2 East nine points behind champions Tonbridge Juddians.
Moved to and continues to play at Barn Elms in Queen Elizabeth Walk after relocating there in 1987.
Defeated Havant 33-21 in October 2024 during the 2024-25 National League 2 East campaign.
