Club history
The club was founded at a meeting in The Dolphin Hotel in Havant on 27 April 1951.
Havant RFC moved to its present home at Hooks Lane in Bedhampton in 1953.
The first clubhouse was built by members of the club and opened in 1955 by the Lady Mayoress of Portsmouth.
The club won the Hampshire Cup for the first time in 1974-75 and the following season became the first junior club to reach the last 16 of the John Player Cup.
Recent seasons
Won the Regional 1 South Central championship in the 2023-24 season earning promotion to National League 2 East.
Returned to the National Leagues after a fourteen-year absence.
Competed in National League 2 East throughout the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons sitting around mid-table.
