Club history
Hull RUFC in its current form was created in July 1992 from a merger of Old Hymerians RUFC and Hull & East Riding RUFC (1989).
Old Hymerians RUFC was founded in 1925 by former pupils of Hymers College an independent school in Hull.
Hull & East Riding RUFC traced its lineage back to a Hull club active by 1875 when I. Hutchinson became its first international player.
The merged club's badge combines the three crowns of Kingston-upon-Hull the phoenix of Hull & East Riding and the hind of Old Hymerians.
The club played at the Old Hymerians ground at Haworth Park until moving to the Ferens Ground on Chanterlands Avenue from the 2008-09 season.
