Club history
Leicester Tigers Women were formed on 15 July 2021 in partnership with Lichfield Ladies under the initial name Lichfield Leicester Tigers.
The team entered Women's Championship North 1 for the 2022-23 season taking the place of Lichfield.
Leicester made their debut in Premiership Women's Rugby in the 2023-24 season.
The club plays home matches at Mattioli Woods Welford Road which has been the home of Leicester Tigers since 10 September 1892.
Leicester maintain a dual-registration partnership with Lichfield RUFC for player development.
Recent seasons
Leicester Tigers Women was formed on 15 July 2021 launched in partnership with Lichfield Ladies.
Tom Hudson was appointed as Head Coach ahead of the 2024-25 PWR campaign joining from Ampthill Rugby and welcoming nine new players to the 36-strong squad.
Vicky Macqueen departed her role as Head of Women's Rugby at the end of the 2023-24 season after guiding the team through their maiden PWR season.
Leicester finished bottom of the 2024-25 PWR table in ninth place.
