Club history

Sheffield RUFC was founded in 1902 with the club's establishment credited to the efforts of Harold Willey and Billy Gray.

The original ground was in the Sandygate area of Sheffield before a move to Tinsley in search of better facilities.

Abbeydale Park forms part of a larger sports complex shared with cricket hockey tennis and other sports.

The club was promoted from the Midlands Premier to National League 2 North at the end of the 2021-22 season.
