Club history
Tynedale was formed on 11 October 1876 at a meeting in Hexham Town Hall convened after a letter arrived in town addressed to the non-existent Captain of the Hexham Football Club.
The first Tynedale team took the field on 30 December 1876 against Elswick (now Northern) and won by a goal and two tries to nil.
Winning the Northumberland Senior Shield in 1904 sparked a golden era that brought 15 trophies in a decade including three Senior Cups.
The 1926 golden jubilee match was chaired by club president Harry Robb who himself had played in Tynedale's first ever game against Elswick in 1876.
Tynedale moved from Dene Park in Hexham to its current Tynedale Park home in Corbridge in 1976 to mark its centenary.
Recent seasons
Tynedale finished 2nd in the 2024-25 NL2 North season with 105 points behind champions Leeds Tykes.
Tynedale opened the 2025-26 NL2 North campaign with a 50-19 home win over Wharfedale.
Tynedale beat Darlington Mowden Park 48-38 in an early 2025-26 NL2 North fixture.
The club continues to play at Tynedale Park in Corbridge Northumberland.
