Club history
Cheltenham Rugby Football Club was founded in 1889 making it one of the older rugby union clubs in Gloucestershire.
The club formed its Ladies XV in 1990 to compete in the National Leagues.
The club signed a lease on the former Smiths Industries / GE Aviation 19-acre sports ground at Newlands Park in 2004 and purchased the freehold of the site in 2007.
The Tigers Women have run a partnership with neighbouring Premiership Women's Rugby side Gloucester-Hartpury to develop their senior playing pathway.
Recent seasons
Won back-to-back Women's Championship play-off finals in 2021-22 and 2022-23 under captain Maddie Massey beating Leicester Tigers 27-17 at Twickenham in April 2023.
Topped the Women's Championship North 1 table in 2022-23 with an unbeaten record across an 18-game programme.
Sit top of Women's Championship 1 North in 2025-26 with 76 points alongside Sale FC 1861.
