Club history
Coventry RFC traces its origins to an 1874 match between Stoke Cricket Club members and Allesley Park College in Allesley played half under rugby rules and half under association rules.
Coventry won the RFU Knockout Cup in successive seasons beating Bristol in the 1973 final and London Scottish in the 1974 final.
England and Lions wing David Duckham came through the club's youth system and made over 300 appearances for Coventry while earning 36 England caps.
The club left its long-time Coundon Road home and moved to Butts Park Arena in 2004 after the new ground had been developed.
Recent seasons
Coventry finished 3rd in the 2022-23 RFU Championship behind Ealing and champions Jersey Reds.
Alex Rae was appointed Coventry head coach in 2022.
