Club history
Henley RFC was founded in August 1930 as Old Henleiensians by old boys of Henley Grammar School.
The club was re-founded in 1954 after a wartime break and changed its name to Henley RFC in 1963.
The 1st XV was named the Henley Hawks in 1997.
Under Clive Woodward's coaching from 1990 the club secured promotions in 1992 and 1994 into the National Leagues.
In 1999 Henley enjoyed a record run in the Tetley's Bitter Cup beating Premiership side Bedford before losing to Gloucester at Kingsholm.
Recent seasons
Relegated from National League 1 at the end of the 2022-23 season and dropped into National League 2 East for 2023-24.
Finished 12th in the 2025-26 National League 2 East to enter the relegation playoff.
Beat Tunbridge Wells 43-7 in the National 2 Playoff final on 10 May 2026 to secure National League 2 status for 2026-27 in front of a crowd of 810 at Dry Leas.
